The version installed by default in Vista Build 5270 is much older than the IE 7 build 5299. Besides, Vista and XP will not be using the same IE 7 versions and a separate version will be released for XP. The Beta 2 preview which has just been released is the latest version meant for WinXP.

They may have copied the features but they've added plenty of their own. The page magnification feature and full page view feature (modified) are great and the interface is better than Firefox. Ive been using it for a while now and its definitely faster than IE6 while being as fast and easy to use as Firefox (minus Fasterfox ofcourse wink.gif ) . The RSS display feature is also very cool and easy to use.

Considering the enthusiasm for this build (rapidshare downloads of this build are growing very rapidly) many people are willing to give IE and MS another chance.

Thats the point, small extension like fasterfox can produce such good results.
It is the firefox extensions that make it better(far better) than any browser.

Any new browser feature can be added to firefox using extensions

Also RSS display feature will also be improved in the next version of firefox, that is 2.0 which is coming soon(yes its true..)

lol you "intelligent guys" should know that both, firefox and internet explorer aren't open source, so none of them can copy features [so, who said that microsoft copies things for firefox are noobs]

and if you're saying that firefox is original, you are noob ++ plus advanced master, cause firefox wasn't the first software with the actually features, it was a software that i saw in download.com

and them, i hate microsoft lol.. but talmost all products are for it :/

[ when i do what the tutorial says, i get an error that update.exe can't see if update.ini is the original, could anyone help me? ]

Since the original rapidshare link was removed, we've uploaded a re-packaged version of the latest IE7 Beta 2 build. The .rar file includes the custom.dll .

Here is the link : http://rapidshare.de/files/11681542/IE_NSI...nge.IN.rar.html

Although I have downloaded the preview/Beta, I would like to know that would I be able to use the old IE6 after installing it? As I am not the only one who uses my comp, my non-techie bro would be pissed off if he had to use an entirely new, that too beta, browser!

Expecting a quick reply. (Even just a Yes or NO by PM will do)

Sorry for the late reply but the answer is NO. IE6 will not be available once you have installed IE7. I'm unaware of software hacks that may enable a parallel installation but the version available for download at this thread will certainly override the IE6 installation on your PC.

However, IE7 beta can be uninstalled easily.

When I run update.exe, I get the following pop-up. Anyone have a clue how to resolve this?

"Setup could not verify the integrity of the file Update.inf. Make sure the Cryptographic service is running on this computer".

I looked in Services and sure enough, it's running.

Thanks
